I have arrived at the most exciting and rewarding point in my life.
I want to shout my revelations from this mountaintop, but that might
seem tacky, especially for a xxx-year old grandmother. Instead let
me share with you where I’ve come from and a little of what makes me
tick, and why I’m so energized today.
I always wanted to make a good living, while at the same time
enhancing the quality of life for other people. My first foray as an
entrepreneur was opening a New York style delicatessen in Newport
Rhode Island, were none had existed before. I moved to New York City
where I spent quite a few years in corporate America as a career
counselor and headhunter, the Internet called, and I spent time in
those exciting trenches of the emerging e-commerce industry. I
worked with Internet Tradeline, which made its market partnering
with all the major newspapers in the United States. I traveled
extensively and worked with some wonderful people. It was great fun
for a while – until the bottom fell out.
Without sounding like a cliché, I was one of those people who felt
her destiny should be in her own hands. It was my time now. Network
Marketing seemed attractive for one is certainly the master of your
own future. Nobody can fire you and your future is up to you. I
tried a few companies whose products I trusted, but something was
lacking. I first had to learn the Industry, personally grow and find
the right products, those elements had to be there at the same time.
Also I had to learn to be a leader and trust myself to lead others.
